WORSHIP WITH US
SEE YOU IN-PERSON & ONLINE SUNDAYS AT 8:30AM & 10:30AM
Easter at Trinity
You’re invited to join us for Easter weekend at Trinity Hillsboro! Below is all the activities that we offer.
Maundy Thursday
April 17th at 7pm
You can expect hymns and special music as we focus on the last night of Jesus’ life and the Last Supper. Pastor Josh will be preaching on “Sorrow in the Supper”. We’ll be celebrating Holy Communion together and then at the end of the service we’ll strip the altar while reading selected Psalms. There is no Children’s Church (where we bring the kids out during the sermon) nor childcare available for this service.
Prayer Vigil
April 17th 8:30pm - April 18th 6:30pm
After our Maundy Thursday service has concluded, we go our prayer vigil. This vigil goes all night long until our evening Good Friday service. This is a time to center ourselves in prayer. If you would like to participate, you can stop by anytime, or you can sign-up to pray here: trinityhillsboro.com/prayer-vigil. If you’d like to submit a prayer request, you can do so on the same page.
Good Friday
April 18th at 11:15am & 7pm
We will have a Tenebrae Service (Service of Darkness) at 11:15am and 7pm. Both services are laid out the same, with the exception of some special music pieces at the evening service, so pick a time that works best for you and your family. You can expect hymns about Jesus’ suffering, as he hangs on the cross. This service will be reading the passion narrative through the Gospel of Luke and extinguishing candles after each reading, and slowly dim the lights. Pastor Steve will preach a message “The Man of Sorrows”. At the end of the service, it will be completely dark, there will be no benediction, instead we will seal the tomb and quietly recess behind the Christ candle, awaiting Christ’s resurrection Sunday morning. There is no Children’s Church (where we bring the kids out during the sermon), nor childcare available for this service.
Easter Eggstravaganza!
April 19th at 9am
Starting at 9am, you can join us for a FREE breakfast. We’ll be serving pancakes, eggs, and sausage. With hot coffee, and tea as well. Just come on in the gym anytime before 10am to grab some food. At 10am, we’ll move over to the Worship Center for an Easter Message, some fun songs to sing (and dance!). Following this, we’ll give you some instructions on the Egg Hunt, and then release to go hunt for eggs. We’ll have some games for the kids to play and face painting as well. We hope to see you there!

We exist to help people:
Meet Jesus
by reaching out to all (Matthew 28:19-20), be united in worship (Acts 2:42), and forgive as Christ forgave us (Ephesians 4:32).
Follow Jesus
by growing in God’s Word (2 Timothy 3:16-17), be faithful in prayer (Philippians 4:6), and give sacrificially (2 Corinthians 9:6-7).
Share Jesus
by loving our neighbors (1 John 4:19), witness in Word and Action (Hebrews 10:24-25), and multiply disciples (Acts 1:8).
