We invite our congregation to join us in observing Reformation Sunday and LWML Sunday, two significant occasions in our life together as a community of faith.
Reformation Sunday commemorates the historic movement that emphasizes the foundational truths of our theology. On October 31, 1517, Martin Luther, a German monk and professor, initiated a call for theological reform by posting his Ninety-five Theses in Wittenberg. While his initial intent was to foster a scholarly debate regarding church practices, his convictions regarding the sufficiency of Christ and the authority of Scripture ultimately led to the Protestant Reformation.
While Reformation Day is historically observed on October 31, we gather on this Sunday to focus our hearts and minds on these enduring themes during our time of worship.
We look forward to honoring this history with you and recognizing the dedicated service of our LWML members. Please join us for a meaningful service of reflection and celebration.
