Learn about Trinity’s financial position
Our budget year closed on June 30th so we wanted to update you as to where things stand. We spent moderately less than we took in this year and ended the year with a modest amount of cash on hand. However, our cash flow is tight right now as it always is this time of year due to the pause in preschool tuition and lower worship attendance.
As a result, we have tapped into some reserves—contributions “banked” during the year—that we had set aside back in December. We had hoped to be able to put those funds into our endowment to continue attending to Trinity’s future, but paying our bills today is prudent and necessary.
What does this mean? At present, we are in a stable position. It looks as though we will have enough reserve funds to get through the slow season. But, there were plans for those funds: saving for the future, keeping pace with our building maintenance, expanding kingdom work. In order words, we are “making it” but that doesn’t leave much for investing in the future. It’s the same thing many of you are seeing in your personal finances.
There are many reasons to believe our financial future is strong—some financial commitments that have run their course and plans to increase our revenues—but, as always, your contributions are valuable and important. Thank you for your support!
