Meet the Youth Interns!
We are excited to announce that we will have three high school interns this summer that will be helping out with youth, children, and family ministry projects. Here's a little bit of information about each of them, their goals for the internship, and a little video to show their personalities!
Maddy - an incoming freshman at Valley Catholic, and her favorite dessert is brownies! Maddy says, "My first goal is to be more responsible and independent. I hope that over the summer, especially with the opportunity to lead VBS and youth group, I will improve my leadership skills. My second goal is to gain more self-confidence. It’s something I struggle with and it's something that is very helpful when it comes to having a job. I hope that all the independence I’ll gain will give me confidence to do everything to the best of my ability. Finally, my third goal is to grow closer to Christ. This is always a lifelong goal, and I think this job will really help me on my faith journey. I think this is my most important goal."
Kaia - a sophomore at Forest Grove HS, who's favorite dessert is ice cream and brownies. Kaia says, "I have three main goals for my time during this internship. The first is to deepen my relationship with God. My second goal is to strengthen my teamwork and communication skills. And my final goal is to build confidence in sharing the gospel as well as in daily life.
Ellie - a freshman at Forest Grove HS, who's favorite dessert is chocolate cake. Ellie says, "3 goals that I want to accomplish during this job is getting better at sharing Gods word/ the gospel. I want to be better at this because I enjoy helping people grow in their faith, and I want to be able to answer any questions they have. My second goal I want to accomplish is being “coachable.” What I mean by this is being able to do something easily when being told to without overthinking the assignment. My third goal I want to accomplish is having better work ethic. I want to have better responsibility and discipline."
